I think the carrying cases for glass containers would be our best bet. If they get out of the habit of bringing stuff home every day I'm afraid they'll end up with a whole bunch of dirty dishes at work!

My main vice has always been drinking from plastic water bottles, and it has only been since the start of this year that I have stopped completely, and now I just drink tap water. :)

I've been using glass jars, glass food storage contains, and wax paper bags for a couple of years, but its still easy to forget NOT to use plastic. My goal is to not use the plastic produce bags at the store, I'm going to make my own produce bags.

I pink puffy heart my Pyrex. Beth is SUCH an inspiration--eating food from scratch is the biggest way to reduce our plastic use, and I use our own canvas bags for shopping and buy milk in glass jugs. Unfortunately SO much is packaged in plastic and there are no options for some products we use. But we are getting MUCH better at this house.

One of my goals for this year is to limit my trash to one kitchen bag per week (and I bought biodegradable bags). I've been successful with this the past two weeks, and in fact, I'm already past a week's worth in the current bag.

I have a bunch of those Pyrex containers.....I have been collecting them for about ten years. I have a wide variety of sizes. They work great! I use them in the freezer/fridge/oven and have had no trouble with them even the ones that I have had ten years are still going strong!
