| December 21, 2010 | Posted by Lisa Sharp under Green Holidays |
It’s four days until Christmas, if you are still looking for gifts here are some quick ideas.
Baked goods are a great quick gift. This is also great for the people on your list who have everything. You can check out my recipes for some ideas.
My salt scrub is a quick and easy gift. Also Lisa over at Condo Blues has 30 great homemade gift ideas.
You can make gift donations for people on your list and not only give them a gift but give to others as well. You can find many donation options on Heifer International, Alternative Gift Market, and for the animal lovers World Wildlife Fund.
Gift cards can be a green gift because at least the person can get what they want and won’t end up with something that goes straight to the trash. Gift cards to local businesses are even better. Restaurant gift cards are great for most people on your list.
You can also check out local stores for neat last minute eco finds. Supporting small local businesses is good for the economy and can also be good for the environment. If you are in Oklahoma check out Native Roots Market in Norman for many wonderful eco-friendly local items as well as lots of fair trade gift ideas.
Even at the last minute you can make your Christmas a little bit greener by using tips like these.
